About the Orans Family History
Web
This web site is dedicated to my family past, present and future. I started it as a means of communicating some
of our family history through family photographs to
my grand-niece and nephews (my sisters grandchildren). These pages
are a draft for design and content and are by no means complete. I have
started by documenting my direct ancestors with the earliest first. I intend to
expand the site to include collateral branches (Cousins of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and
4th degrees). I maintain a
genealogical file with as many details as I can collect. For now, I thought
these pictures might provoke some interest and allow us all to create new family
ties. The first links extend to the families of my Mother and Father.

Family Trees
Here are a few simplified family trees. The photographic tree was
designed for fun and just to see how it might look. The "Ancestors of Lewis
Paul Orans and Elle Engel by Grandparent's Family" provides some of the
logic supporting the current organization of the website as Index Pages have
been developed by my parents' parents' families. "Ancestors and Descendents
of Edwin David Orans and Matilda "Matty" Rjawsky" provides a bit
more detail about my immediate family. These charts are wider than a standard
web browser, so you may need to scroll across to view all of the information. I
have added several more detailed charts within the website to provide additional
details.
